Cerissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Health, summa cum laude, from the University of North Florida and is pursuing her Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology at Florida State College at Jacksonville, preparing for clinical training at Mayo Clinic. She leads community outreach as Prevention Specialist with Community Coalition Alliance, Inc., driven by a passion for health equity and lifelong learning.

FSCLS mourns the loss of our outstanding friend and colleague, who passed on September 11, 2025, after battling ALS. Carleen was a beautiful soul who loved to serve and touched so many of our lives. FSCLS will honor her legacy with a scholarship in her name, and her family encourages donations to an ALS Association in her honor.
